Food Sustainability - Studio Selects / Review

Review: I feel some of these selects were more successful than others. While I do like the hands holding the produce, I don't necessarily like the connotations the white hands portray in relation to the black farmers in my other photographs of this series. I think for my next studio shoot I will refrain from including any human elements to avoid these connotations. I like the colors of the spinach shots in relation to some of my on location images, though I feel the papaya stands out as it is a little too tropical beside the rest of the images. The avocado will work as an image, but I'm planning on changing the background color to match the blue skies of some of the location images to fit more cohesively. I think going forward for my next studio shoot I will try to stick to more local produce that relates will to what the farms produce.
